I am Thankful to be at Roberts!!!

November is always the month that I reflect what I am so thankful about in my life.  This year I am so THANKFUL to be at ROBERTS!!!  I have enjoyed teaching these students, having wonderful parents and working in this beautiful building!  I truly am blessed to be able to go to work each and every day!  I have many things to post today....Teddy Bear Day, Fall Fun Activities, Special Visitors and Kids with Character! WHEW!  I was tired over the weekend!!!  Hope you enjoy!

We had a blast at our Fall Activities!  It is so much fun celebrating these special days!

We celebrated Kids with Character on Friday afternoon.  This month we discussed Responsibility!  The two children from our room were Grant Hu and Sophie Wall.  These two children always remember their belongings, take their notes home and always clean their centers!!

We have been studying about the Letter Tt this week!  We practiced writing our letters on the Smart Board today! I think they are TTTTTTTTTTTerrific!!! 

We also have been discussing Halloween safety procedures for this upcoming weekend!  We had the "Stranger Danger" talk and the procedure for checking candy!  We completed a shared writing experience by asking the children...What is your favorite candy???

Red Ribbon Week and RAIN!!!

Today we had our shades on even though there was rain outside!  We have been celebrating Red Ribbon Week all week.  We were celebrating "Shade out to Drugs" Day!!  Check us out....

Rain might be needed in Little Rock, but here at Roberts Elementary we love to go outside!!!  Although, on rainy days we have so much fun playing in our flex spaces!  We played indoors in the morning and the sun came out so we went outside this afternoon!



Eli is Star of the Week!!

Eli is the Star of the Week!!!!

Eli is a sweet, intelligent boy who loves to count!  He loves math and loves to count to 20!  He brought some of his favorite things from home....a calculator, a book and some post-it notes!  He also brought his calendar from home!  Eli is expecting a brother or sister this spring!  He is a joy to have in the classroom and I will be looking for him as a mathematician in the future!

Elizabeth was so cute today!  I had to share this with each of you!!!

My house is finally well!  My youngest Brooke was sick with a sinus infection last week!  We are much better and on the road to a full recovery!  Thanks Ms. Scott and Ms. Gomillion for a great job!!!  Have a great week!

Sorry Friends....It has been busy around Roberts Elementary!  We have been busy with Field Trips, Birthdays, Carnivals and Teacher Record Day!  There is much to catch up on today.....

BUSY BEARS!!!

Today the Bounds Bears were very busy!  We visited the Computer Lab for the first time!  They were so excited about each having a computer and some extra time without having to share!!!  They visited http://www.starfall.com/! 

Center time is soooo precious in our room.  You will witness some of the sweetest acts of kindness, funny sayings, cute conversations or just a precious child reading a book.  Today, Rylan and Andre were very into the Workbench Center!  Hope you enjoy!





Star of the Week....Limes, Lemons and Birthday Cookie Cake! We are BUSY!!!

Lovely Letter Ll!

We began learning about Letter Ll today in class!  We discussed the characteristics of the Letter Ll and the /l/ sound!  We had a taste test of limes and lemons.....you can see the video to see the reactions!!

Today Rachel turned 5!  We had a special visit from her mommy with a Cookie Cake! 

Our Star of the Week is Elizabeth Moses!!!



Elizabeth is an adorable four year old girl who loves the camera! She brought her Dora pillow, her princess book and her Nintendo DS from home.  Elizabeth is such a loving child!  Watch out….she might be America’s Next Top Model!
